50th Anniversary Celebration

Children’s Faith Formation Coordinator
Deborah joined the parish staff in October 1997, following Aggie Gladbach in coming over from St. Michael’s in Grand Prairie, and soon after took over children’s faith formation. Her creativity and enthusiasm have been evident in the scope of the program over the years. One of her feature annual events is Vacation Bible School. Whether she uses a published program or creates her own from scratch, the decor is always amazing and the activities are memorable and inspiring for children and parents alike. It’s gratifying to Deborah when a child says, “I had so much fun today!” or a parent tells her, “I learned so much.” Many of us watched her daughter Bailey grow up, running the halls of the community center. Well, that same Bailey just got married on Saturday, June 3! Thank you for 26 wonderful years, Deborah.

The last day to register for this year's program is Sunday, June 18. Look for the "Tacky Tourist" in the narthex after Masses this Sunday.
Adult Volunteers are still needed to ensure we meet all Diocesan Safe Environment guidelines. If you are able to help with our VBS program this year, please contact Deborah ASAP.

Please join the Holy Spirit community as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Ordination
of both Fr. Eugene and Fr. Steve,
and send them on their way to their new assignments with our encouragement and prayers.
Saturday, June 17, 2023, our priests will concelebrate the 5:00 PM Mass. We will then gather in the gym to Celebrate and Send Forth, beginning with dinner ~6:45.
Memory Book: We are putting together a Memory Book for each priest. If you would like to include a letter for the book:
Write or type it on 8 1/2" x 11" paper
It may include a photo, either printed on the paper or attached securely (you will NOT get the photo back)
DO NOT FOLD the letter
Drop it into the letter box in the narthex or at the front office.
If you need assistance printing your letter, you may email it to lindeegreer@holyspiritcc.org.
Photo Slideshow: If you have a cherished photo of our priests that you would like included in a slideshow that will run during our "Send Forth/Appreciation" event, please email to lindeegreer@holyspiritcc.org.
Because both our priests will be out of town during the last week of June, we will not have daily Mass on Monday - Thursday, June 26-29, and no confessions on Wednesday, June 28th. There will be a communion service at 8:30 AM each day in lieu of daily Mass. Please pray for the safe travel of our priests.
Adult and Family Ministry
We are accepting recipes to create a recipe book so that we may share our cultures through cooking with the Holy Spirit. To shine a light on the universality of our Church, please note the recipe's nation (or state) of origin, if possible.
We are also asking our founding members to share their culinary legacy with us through their recipes, so be sure to note on your submission if you are one of our founding members.
Deadline for submission is July 4th, 2023 and the book is projected to be released by the Fall Festival. You may submit a recipe through our website (click the button below) or look for the QR code in this week's bulletin. You may also submit hand-written recipes to the office of Adult and Family Ministry, attn: ACTS cookbook.

Proceeds will assist with ACTS Retreat scholarships and other initiatives that will continue to grow the ACTS Mission within our community.
Community Life
On June 18th in 1903 Catholic Daughters of the Americas was created. Holy Spirit would like to congratulate our local chapter of CDA, Court of the Holy Spirit, on the 120th anniversary of their organization. We thank them for their service and dedication to our parish. Join us on Saturday, June 17, at 8:30 AM Mass as our local chapter of CDA celebrates their Corporate Communion.
